17. The Tenth Bhūmi

evam ukte āyuṣmān mahākāśyapa āyuṣmantaṃ mahākātyāyanam uvāca || ye punar bhojinaputra bodhisatvāḥ paripiṇḍatakuśalamūlāḥ kṛtakarmāṇaḥ navamāṃ bhūmiṃ samatikramya daśamāṃ bhūmiṃ paripūrayitvā tuṣitabhavanam upagamya manujabhavam abhikāṃkṣamāṇāḥ mātuḥ kukṣim avataranti apunāvartam evam ādīni kṛtvā saṃkīrtaya paramapudgalānām āścaryādbhutadharmā asādhāraṇā pratyekabuddhādibhiḥ vaśibhūtagaṇādibhiś ca śaikṣapṛthagjanādibhiś ceti || evam ukte mahākātyāyana āyuṣmantaṃ mahākāśyapam uvāca || garbhāvakrāntisaṃpannāś ca samyaksaṃbuddhā bhavanti | garbhasthitisaṃpannāś ca jātisaṃpannāś ca | janetrīsaṃpannāś ca bhavanti samyaksaṃbuddhā | abhiniṣkramaṇasaṃpannāś ca bhavanti samyaksaṃbuddhāḥ | vīryasaṃpannāś ca bhavanti samyaksaṃbuddhāḥ | jñānādhigamanasaṃpannāś ca bhavanti samyaksaṃbuddhāḥ ||

kathaṃ bho dhutadharmadhara garbhāvakrāntisaṃpannāḥ samyaksaṃbuddhā bhavanti ||

tuṣitabhavanā śirighano purimakuśalamūlasaṃcayo vīraḥ |
avalokayati atiśayen’ olokitāni cyavanakāle ||

cintayati evaṃ hitakaro cintām arthāvahāṃ naramarūṇāṃ |
amaravarasaṃparivṛto devagaṇagurur mahāpuruṣo ||

cyavituṃ samayo khu dāni me saṃprati satvā mahāndhakāragatā |
hatanayanā kaluṣanayanā māṃ prāpya tasmād vīmucyante ||

kā dāni śīlasaṃvare evaṃ nārī ratā upaśame ca |
agrakulīnā suvacā tyāgarucimārdavavatī ca ||

tejasvinī ca + + + kā nu khalu hatatamarāgadoṣā ca |
rūpaguṇapāramigatā ahīnavṛttā vipulapuṇyā ||

kā māṃ samarthā dhārayituṃ daśa māsāṃ kā ca pratyarahasaukhyā |
bhave mama kā nu jananī kukṣim aham upaimi kasyādya ||

paśyati vilokayanto rājño śuddhodanasya orodhe |
nārīm amaravadhunibhāṃ vidyullatānibhāṃ atha māyāṃ ||

so tāṃ niśāmya jananīm āmantrayati amarān* cyaviṣyāmi |
antimam upetya vāsaṃ garbhe suramānuṣahitārthaṃ ||

taṃ avaca devasaṃgho kṛtāṃjalipuṭo varābharaṇadhārī |
ṛdhyatu uttamapudgala praṇidhi tava ahīnaguṇapuṇyā ||

vayam api lokahitā bahu manoramāṃ ośiritvā kāmaratiṃ |
pūjārtham aninditasya manuṣyaloke vasiṣyāmo ||

kiṃ cāpi viprayogaṃ tvayā na icchāma bhūtasaṃghaguru |
api tu aravindanayanā bhaviṣyasi gatī naramarūṇāṃ ||

evaṃ khalu bho dhutadharmadhara samyasaṃbuddhā garbhāvakrāntisaṃpannāś ca bhavanti ||

kathaṃ ca bho dhutadharmadhara samyaksaṃbuddhā garbhasthitisaṃpannā bhavanti || bodhisatvāḥ khalu bho dhutadharmadhara mātuḥ kukṣigatā mātur yoniṃ niśrāya tiṣṭhanti | mātuḥ pṛṣṭhaṃ niśrāya tiṣṭhanti | mātur udaraṃ niśrāya tiṣṭhanti | mātuḥ pārśvaṃ niśrāya tiṣṭhanti || viṣṭambhitayā bho dhutadharmadhara kusūtraṃ pravāḍavaiḍūryamaṇim upālambya na kvacid upalabhyate pradeśas tu asti sarvaśas tathā bodhisatvā mātuḥ kukṣau na tiṣṭhanti tiṣthanti ca | bodhisatvaṃ punaḥ khalu bho dhutadharmadhara mātuḥ kukṣigataṃ devasaṃghāḥ upasaṃkramya pṛcchanti prahvāḥ kṛtāṃjalipuṭāḥ sumuhūrtaṃ sudivasaṃ prītamanasaḥ | tāṃ ca devasaṃghān tathā pṛcchamānāṃ bodhisatvā pratyabhinandanti dakṣiṇakaram utkṛṣya mātaraṃ ca na bādhanti || na kho punar bho dhutadharmadhara bodhisatvā mātuḥ kukṣigatā utkuṭakena pārśvena vā yathā kathaṃcid vā sthitā bhavanti | atha khalu bho dhutadharmadhara bodhisatvāḥ paryaṅkam ābhuṃjitvā niṣaṇṇā bhavanti mātaraṃ ca na bādhanti || bodhisatvāḥ kho punar bho dhutadharmadhara mātuḥ kukṣigatā ca santo bhavavādikathāṃ kathayanti kuśalamūlata iti || bodhisatvasya khalu punar bho dhutadharmadhara mātuḥ kukṣigatasya pūjārthaṃ satatasamitaṃ divyāni tūryāṇi vādyanti na kadācid divā vā rātrau vā tiṣṭhanti || bodhisatvaṃ ca bho dhutadharmadhara mātuḥ kukṣigataṃ pūjārthaṃ apsaraśatasahasrāṇi sandarśayanti divyaṃ puṣpavarṣaṃ divyaṃ cūrṇavarṣaṃ noparamante kadācit* || mātuḥ kukṣim ādau kṛtvā bodhisatvānāṃ yāvat parinirvṛtā daśabalā ca divyā ca agurudhūpā noparamanti || na khalu bho dhutadharmadhara bodhisatvā mātāpitṛnirvṛttā bhavanti | atha khalu svaguṇanirvṛttā upapādukā bhavanti || tatredam ucyate ||

atha sā kamaladalanayana anubaddhā gandharvabahubhi śyāmā |
sahitaṃ pi taṃ sumadhuraṃ śuddhodanam abravīt* māyā ||

eṣā samādiyāmi prāṇehi ahiṃsaṃ brahmacaryaṃ ca |
viramāmi cāpy adinnā madyād anibaddhavacanāc ca ||

paruṣavacanāc ca naravara prativiramāmi tathaivaṃ paiśunyā |
anṛtavacanāc ca narapati viramāmi ayaṃ mama chando ||

parakāmeṣu ca īrṣyāṃ na saṃjaneṣyaṃ nāpi abhidrohaṃ |
bhūteṣu maitracittā mithyādṛṣṭiṃ ca vijahāmi ||

ekādaśaprakāraṃ śīlaṃ sevāmy ahaṃ pṛthivīpāla |
rajanīm imām anūnām evaṃ me jāyate chando ||

api ca khalu bhūmipālā kāmavitarko mā māṃ pratikāṃkṣi |
prekṣasva mā ti adharmo bhaveya mayi brahmacāriṇiye ||

saṃkalpaṃ prapūreṣyan ti pārthivo bhāriyām idam avocat* |
abhirama bhavanavaragatā ahaṃ ca rājyaṃ ca te vaśyaṃ ||

sā strīsahasram agryaṃ anuraktaṃ gṛhya taṃ vimānavaraṃ |
abhiruhya sanniṣīde manāpaparipūrṇaparivārā ||

sā kaṃcid eva kālaṃ tasmiṃ himapāṇḍupuṇḍarīkanibhe |
śayane praśamadamaratā tuṣṇībhāvena kṣepayate ||

atha kautūhalamano saṃjaniyā bahudevakanyā varamālyadharāḥ |
jinamātuḥ upagatā draṣṭumanā prāsādasundarāgreṇa sthitā ||

upa­saṃk­ramitva śayanopagatāṃ māyāṃ niśāmya varavidyunibhāṃ|
prītisukhaṃ vipulaṃ saṃjaniyā atha saṃpravarṣi divijaṃ kusumaṃ||

mānuṣyakaṃ pi kila īdṛśakaṃ rūpaṃ sujātam idam āścaryaṃ |
kiṃcit kālaṃ sthihiya antarato nāyaṃ samā maruvadhūhi bhave ||

līlāṃ niśāmayatha he sakhikā pramadāye yādṛśīṃ yathopayikāṃ |
śayane virocati manaṃ harati vibhrājate kanakarītiḥ iva sā ||

iyaṃ taṃ dhareṣyati mahāpuruṣaṃ atyantadānadamaśīlarataṃ |
sarvāśravāntakaraṇaṃ virajaṃ kiṃ hāyate tava narendravadhū ||

cāpodare karatalapratime vararomarājini citrastavane |
iha vāsam abhyupagato varado avimrakṣito aśucinā bhagavāṃ ||

anurūpā tvaṃ ca pramadā pravarā mātā sa caiva puruṣapravaro |
putro bhavāntakaraṇo bhagavāṃ kiṃ hāyate tava narendravadhū iti ||

yasyāṃ khalu bho dhutadharmadhara jātīyāṃ bodhisatvamātaro caramabhavikaṃ bodhisatvaṃ dhārayanti tasyāṃ jātau pramadāvarāṇāṃ pariśuddhaṃ paripūrṇam akhaṇḍaṃ brahmacaryaṃ bhavati || manasāpi tāsāṃ pramadottamānāṃ rāgo notpadyate sarvapuruṣeṣu bhartāram ādau kṛtvā || bodhisatve ca bho dhutadharmadhara mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātā divyavastrasaṃvṛtaśarīrā ca bhavati divyābharaṇadhāriṇī ca susnātocchādana­pari­mardana­pariṣ­ekaṃ ca apsarogaṇāḥ bodhisatvamātuḥ pratijāgaranti || bodhisatve mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātuḥ devakanyāśatasahasrehi sārdhaṃ hāsyaṃ bhavati || tathā prasuptāṃ ca bodhisatvamātaraṃ devakanyā mandāravapuṣpadāmaiḥ parivījayanti agrayauvanamaṇḍaprāptā || yadā ca tasyā pramadottamāyāḥ bodhisatvaḥ kukṣim avatarati na bodhisatvamātā kānicid duḥkhāny anubhavati yathānyā pramadā || tuṣitabhavanam ādau kṛtvā sarveṣāṃ bodhisatvānāṃ paṃca nīvaraṇāni viṣkambhitāni bhavanti aprāpte dharmarājye || paripūrṇehi ca daśahi māsehi sarve bodhisatvāḥ mātuḥ kukṣau prādurbhavanti dakṣiṇena pārśvena na ca taṃ pārśvaṃ bhidyate | na cātra kiṃcid vilambaṃ bhavati jāta ity evaṃ bhavati || tatredam ucyate ||

atha pratipūrṇe daśame māse mātā prabhūtapuṇyasya |
śuddhodanaṃ upagamya idam abravīt* dṛṣṭasaṃkalpā ||

ud­yāna­gamanabuddhī utpannā me narādhipā śīghraṃ |
sajjehi vāhanaṃ me yathocitāṃ caivam ārakṣāṃ ||

etaṃ śrutvā vacanaṃ rājā śuddhodano suprītamano |
ālapati sābhilāṣaṃ parivāravaraṃ pṛthivipālo ||

śīghraṃ gajaturagavatīṃ senāṃ padātisamākulāṃ vipulāṃ |
prāsaśaraśakticitrāṃ sajjiya prativedayadhvaṃ mama ||

catughoṭāna tatha aśvarathāna daśaśatasahasrā yujyantu |
pravarā kāñcanaghaṇṭāravāṇi madhurānunādāni ||

aṃ­janaghanasadṛśānāṃ nāgānāṃ varmadhāriṇāṃ śīghraṃ |
pratidheyatha adhimātrā sajjāni daśaśatasahasrāṇi ||

āyuktavarmakavacā śūrā sajjībhavantu anivartyā |
sajjībhavantu capalaṃ viṃśatsāhasriyo teṣāṃ ||

vipula sakiṃkiṇiraṇitaṃ sahemajālaṃ uḍāra-aśvarathaṃ |
varamālyavastradhāriṇo pramadā dhārentu devīye ||

lumbinivanaṃ ca śīghraṃ vyapagatatṛṇareṇu­patra­saṃ­kāraṃ |
suśodhitaṃ manojñaṃ kuruta devīye devabhuvanaṃ vā ||

ekaikaṃ ca drumavaraṃ kukūlapaṭṭorṇakośikārehi |
kalpayatha kalpavṛkṣāṃ yathā divi devapravarasya ||

sādhū ti pratiśrutvā tasya vacanena narendragarbhasya |
nacireṇa yathājñaptaṃ kṛtam iti prativeditaṃ rājñaḥ ||

sā salīlacāruvadanā mātā mārabalasaṃpramathanasya |
abhirūhi saparivārā tāni manojñāni yānāni ||

sā vividhābharaṇavatī pādaugharathaughasaṃkulā + + + |
śobhati susaṃprayātā senā manujapradhānasya ||

avagāhya tad vanavaraṃ māyā sakhisaṃvṛtā jinajanetrī |
vicarati citrarathe iva amaravaravadhū ratividhijñā ||

sā krīḍārtham upagatā plākṣṇā śākhāṃ bhujebhiḥ avalambya |
pravijṛmbhitā salīlaṃ tasya yaśavato jananakāle ||

atha viṃśa sahasrāṇi apratimāni tadā apsaravarāṇāṃ |
daśanakhakṛtāṃjalipuṭā māyām abhinandiya bhaṇanti ||

adya jarājātimathanaṃ janayiṣyasi amaragarbhasukumāraṃ |
devī divi bhuvi mahitaṃ hitaṃ hitakaraṃ naramarūṇāṃ ||

mā khu janayī viṣādaṃ parikarma vayaṃ tavaṃ kariṣyāmaḥ |
yat kartavyam udīraya dṛśyatu kṛtam eva mā cintā ||

mātaram abādhamāno prādurbhūto manāpo māyāye |
dakṣiṇapārśvena muniḥ susaṃprajāno paramavādī ||

atha vividharatananicayā nagaranagarā anekasahasrāṇi |
prajvali prabhā ca vimalā prādurbhūte naravarendre ti ||

na khalu bho dhutadharmadhara so asti satvo satvanikāye yo caramāṃ jātiṃ samanantarajātaṃ bodhisatvaṃ samartho vyākartuṃ anyatra śuddhāvāsebhyo devebhyaḥ || tatredam ucyate ||

aṃ­śukasuveṣṭitaśirā aṣṭa sahasrā maheśvaravarāṇāṃ |
brāhmaṇaveṣadhārāṇāṃ abhigacchi puraṃ kapilavastu ||

te rājakuladvāre varavasanadharā varābharaṇadhārī |
apagamya muditamanasā pratihāram uvāca satvavarā ||

śuddhodhanam upagamya brūvīhi ime lakṣaṇaguṇavidhijñā |
tiṣṭhanti aṣṭasahasraṃ praviśed iti yady anumatante ||

etaṃ śrutvā vacanaṃ pratihārarakṣo upetya rājavaraṃ |
kṛtāṃjalipuṭaḥ praṇamya idaṃ uvāca narādhipatiṃ ||

sukhaṃ atulabala dīptida kāraya rājyaṃ ciraṃ nihataśatruḥ |
dvāre te amarasadṛśā tiṣṭhanti praveṣṭum icchanti ||

pratipūrṇavimalanayanā madhuras­va­ramat­tavāraṇavicārī |
bhavanti mama teṣu saṃkā na te manuṣyā marusutās te ||

pari­kaṃk­ramatāṃ teṣāṃ dharaṇirajaḥ kramavarā na saṃkirati |
na ca teṣu sandhiśabdaś caṃkramatā śruyyati kadācit* ||

gambhī­rama­dhura­ceṣṭā āryakārā praśāntadṛṣṭipathā |
vipulāṃ janenti prītiṃ janasya samudīkṣamāṇasya ||

niḥsaṃśayaṃ naravarā putravaraṃ upagatā tavaṃ draṣṭuṃ |
devagaṇapuruṣapradevaṃ abhivādya nandituṃ narasiṃhaṃ ||

etaṃ śrutvā vacanaṃ pratihārarakṣaṃ narādhipovāca |
mayi bho kṛtābhyanujñā praviśantu niveśanam udāraṃ ||

a­marapravara­gaṇas te gaganasamanibhā viśuddhākarmāntā |
praviśensuḥ pārthivakulam ahīnakulavaṃśamukhyasya ||

śuddhodano pi rājā maheśvarāṃ dūrato niśāmetvā |
pratyutthita āsanāto saparijano gauravabalena ||

abhivādate narapatiḥ svāgatam anurāgataṃ ca sarveṣāṃ |
prītā sma darśanena praśamadamabalena ca bhavatāṃ ||

saṃvidyante imāni varāsanāni vararūpavikṛtāni |
āstāṃ tāva bhavanto asmākam anugrahārthāya ||

atha teṣv āsanavareṣu kana­ka­raja­tavarṇacitra­pādeṣu |
vigatamadamānadarpāḥ te tatra sukhaṃ niṣīdensuḥ ||

te kaṃcid eva kālaṃ niṣaṇṇamātrā narādhipam uvāca |
śṛṇvatu bhavāṃ prayojanaṃ yaṃ asmākam iha gamanāya ||

sarvānavadyagātro putras tavaṃ anujāto + + + + + + |
lakṣaṇapāramiprāpto + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + ||

vayam api lakṣaṇakuśalā doṣaguṇāṃ lakṣaṇair vijānāma |
yadi na guru tava sutan te paśyema mahāpuruṣarūpaṃ ||

so vadati etha paśyatha suvyapadeśakṣemaṃ mama putraṃ |
marumanujakīrtiyaśasaṃ lakṣaṇaguṇapāramiprāptaṃ ||

atha mṛdukakācalindikapraveṇiśayitaṃ ca kanakavarṇābhaṃ |
upanayati pārthivavaro naramaruparivanditaṃ sugataṃ ||

ālokayitva dūrā maheśvarāḥ kramavarān naravarasya |
mūrdhnā vigalitamakuṭā dharaṇivaratale praṇipatensuḥ ||

gokṣīravimalacandraṃ mahītale mūrdhnaṃ pratiṣṭhāpetvā |
daśabalam abhinandantāḥ sthitā sucirakālam abhikāṃkṣitaṃ iti ||

jātā khalu bho dhutadharmadhara bodhisatvāḥ sarvāṇi mānuṣyakāni śilpāni anācāryakā py anutiṣṭhanti ||

na khalu bho dhutadharmadhara bodhisatvāḥ tuṣitabhavanāt prabhṛti kāmāṃ pratisevanti || bho jinaputra ko hetuḥ kaḥ pratyayaḥ yaṃ aprahīṇehi kleśehi bodhisatvāḥ kāmāṃ na pratisevanti rāhulaś ca katham utpanna iti || evam ukte āyuṣmān mahākātyāyana āyuṣmantaṃ mahākāśyapam uvāca || paripiṇḍatvāt kuśalasya bodhisatvā kāmāṃ na pratisevanti kalyāṇādhyāśayatvāt* agrādhyāśayatvāt praṇītādhyāśayatvāc ca bodhisatvā kāmāṃ na pratisevanti | akāmakāmitvāt* jñānadhvajatvāt* atatparāyaṇatvāt spṛhānupasthitatvāt bodhisatvāḥ kāmāṃ na pratisevanti | āryatvāt* anīcatvāt kuśalaparibhāvitatvāc ca bodhisatvāḥ kāmān na pratisevante parama­puruṣa­saṃ­bhāvitatvāc ca lokasya samyaksaṃbuddho bhaviṣyatīti || atha rāhulas tuṣitakāyāc cyavitvā mātuḥ yaśodharāyāḥ kṣatriyakanyāyāḥ kukṣim avatīrṇa iti || evam anuśruyate bho dhutadharmadhara || rājānaś cakravartinaḥ aupapādukā babhūvu || tadyathā kusumacūḍaḥ hemavarṇaḥ gāndharvaḥ sumālaḥ ratnadaṇḍaḥ suvimānaḥ ārjavaḥ māndhātā sunayaḥ suvastraḥ bahupakṣaḥ toragrīvaḥ maṇivirajaḥ pavanaḥ marudevaḥ supriyaḥ tyāgavāṃ śuddhavaṃśaḥ durāroha iti ity evam ādayaś cakravartigaṇāḥ aupapādukā āsan na tathā rāhulabhadra iti ||

kathaṃ bho dhutadharmadhara bodhisatvā abhiniṣkramaṇasaṃpannā bhavanti || bhūtapūrvaṃ bho jinaputra bodhisatvo abhiniṣkrāntaḥ || rājakulagataś chandakaṃ gāthayādhyabhāṣate ||

kṣipraṃ chandaka kaṇṭhakam upanītvā mā ciraṃ vilambāhi |
saṃgrāmam ahaṃ durjayaṃ jayiṣye adya bhava vūdagro ||

so vāṣpapūrṇavadano pariniḥśvasanto
chandakaḥ saśokaravitāni samutthitāni |
vāṣpāṇi muñcati imāni prabodhanārthaṃ
suptasya pārthivajanasya + + + + + + ||

kiṃ dāni āvigalitā varakośabhārā
vāṣpaughasaṃstaragatā madanābhibhūtā |
lālasyasokaparidevitakāla eva
suptā idāni yada jāgraṇadeśakālaḥ ||

devī pi nāma suciraṃ pratijāgaritvā
saudāmanīpratimarūpanibhā śayānā |
niryāṇakālasamaye naralambakasya
varasurapure suravadhūpratimā salīlā ||

sā dāni tasya mahiṣī manujeśvarasya
mātā savatsalaviśālasucārunetrā |
saṃpaśyamāna karuṇaṃ priyaviprayogaṃ
nidrābhibhūta na vijānati ālapantaṃ ||

sā dāni kuñjaravarāśvasamāptayodhā
nārācaprāsaśaraśaktivicitravarmā |
senā kahiṃ vasati kaṃ vā guṇaṃ karoti
yā śākyapuṅgavaṃ na budhyati niṣkramantaṃ ||

kaṃ bodhayāmi mama ko nu bhave sahāyo
kiṃ vā karomi divase api vipranaṣṭe |
hā hemakāñcananibhena kila vihīno
rājā jahiṣyati sabandhujano śarīraṃ ||

taṃ devasaṃgha avacī madhurapralāpī
kiṃ chandakā lapasi kiṃ ti vihanyitena |
naitasya mārakaputrāṇy api udyatāni
vighnaṃ samartha janayeyu kuto punas tvaṃ ||

bherimṛdaṅga yadi śaṃkhasahasraśabdaṃ
kuryāt kocit kapilavastuni bodhanārtha |
naitad vibuddhi amareśvara-m-ādikehi
taṃ sopitaṃ puravaraṃ hi samṛddhavāraṃ ||

paśyāsi tāva gagane maṇiratnacūḍā
devā divi gurukṛtasya vasānuvartī |
prahvā kṛtāṃjalapuṭā praṇipatya mūrdhnā
tvaṃ bandhu tvaṃ ca śaraṇaṃ ti namasyamānā ||

tat sādhu kaṇṭhakam upānaya nāyakasya
gokṣīrahemavapuṣaṃ sahajaṃ turaṃgaṃ |
na hy asti so bhuvi divi naralambakasya
yo vighnaṃ kuryā upanehi turaṃgaśreṣṭhaṃ ||

so taṃ praphullakumudākarakundagauraṃ
saṃpūrṇacandravapuṣaṃ sahajaṃ turaṃgaṃ |
tasya mahāguṇadharasya vacābhitunno
suśrūṣakāri upanāmayate rudanto ||

eṣo ti nātha varalakṣaṇabhūṣitāṅgo
sajjaḥ sudyotacaraṇo lalitāgragāmī |
yaṃ dāni te ’dhyavasitaṃ vararūpadhāri
tan te samṛdhyatu viśālabhujāntarāṃśā ||

śatruś ca te ’grabala durbalabhagnaśūko
śīghraṃ tapetu tava tejavarābhibhūtaḥ |
āsā ca te naralambaka mahārthayuktā
saṃpūryatāṃ kanakaparvatasannikāśā ||

ye tubhya vighrakarā te tu apakramantu
śreyāvahā tu ti balaṃ vipulaṃ labhantu |
yaṃ ca vrataṃ samupagacchasi tasya pāraṃ
gacchāsi mattavaravāraṇakhelagāmi ||

maṇikuṭṭimā ca vasudhā rājakule kaṇṭhakasya pādehi |
samanihatā rasati madhuraṃ niśāṃ sphurati adbhutaṃ śabdaṃ ||

caturaś ca lokapālā vigalitamakuṭā pralambavaramālāḥ |
kaṇṭhakapādeṣu karāṃ nyasanti raktotpalasakāśāṃ ||

agrato vajravaradharo tridaśagurū ābaddhamaṇīcūḍo |
indro sahasranayano gacchati purato naravarasya ||

saṃj­ñākṛtamātram idaṃ kaṇṭhako vahatīti vādiśārdūlaṃ |
devā pravarakarahṛtaṃ vahanti aṃśupravaravarṣaṃ ||

niṣkramya nagaravarāto avalokayi puravaraṃ puruṣasiṃho |
na taṃ punar ahaṃ pravekṣyam aprāpya jarāmaraṇapāram iti ||

evam abhiniṣkramaṇasaṃpannā khalu dhutadharmadhara samyaksaṃbuddhā iti || na pratibalo khalv ahaṃ bho dhutadharmadhara bodhisatvasya garbhāvakrāntim ādau kṛtvā yāvad abhiniṣkramaṇato vistareṇa bhāṣituṃ kalpaṃ kalpāvaśeṣaṃ vā na ca guṇā samantā śakyam abhigantuṃ ||
