atha bodhisatvo tuṣitabhavanāto cyavanakālasamaye catvāri mahāvilokitāni viloketi | tadyathā kālavilokitaṃ | deśavilokitaṃ | dvīpavilokitaṃ | kulavilokitaṃ || dvīhi kulehi bodhisatvā jāyanti | kṣatriyakule vā brāhmaṇakule vā | yadā kṣatriyākrāntā pṛthivī bhavati tadā kṣatriyakule jāyanti | yadā brāhmaṇākrāntā pṛthivī bhavati tadā brāhmaṇakule jāyanti || yasmiṃ ca bhikṣavaḥ kule bodhisatvā jāyanti taṃ kulaṃ ṣaṣṭīhi aṅgehi samanvāgataṃ bhavati | katamehi ṣaṣṭīhi | abhijñātaṃ ca bhavati | akṣudrāvacaraṃ ca jātisampannaṃ ca gotrasaṃpannañ ca puruṣayugasampannañ ca abhijñātapūrvapuruṣayuga­saṃ­pannaṃ ca bahustrīkaṃ ca bahupuruṣaṃ ca alolaṃ ca anūnaṃ ca anīcaṃ ca adīnaṃ ca prajñāvantañ ca śīlavantaṃ ca amānyaprekṣitaṃ ca taṃ kulaṃ bhogāṃ bhuṃjati dṛḍhamitraṃ ca taṃ kulaṃ bhavati | kṛtajñaṃ ca vidhijñaṃ ca acchandagāmi ca taṃ kulaṃ bhavati | adoṣagāmi ca amohagāmi ca abhayagāmi ca anavadyabhīru ca sthūlabhikṣaṃ ca puruṣakāramatiṃ ca dṛḍhavikramaṃ ca varavikramaṃ ca śreṣṭhavikramaṃ ca cetiyapūjakaṃ ca devatāpūjakaṃ ca pūrvamitrapūjakaṃ ca kriyādhimuktaṃ ca tyāgādhimuktaṃ ca ātmapūrvāparaṃ ca taṃ kulaṃ bhavati | abhighoṣaghuṣṭaṃ ca abhidevādighoṣaghuṣṭaṃ ca kulajyeṣṭhaṃ ca kulaśreṣṭhaṃ ca kulaṃ kulapravaraṃ ca kulavaśiprāptaṃ ca maheśākhyaṃ ca mahāparivāraṃ ca aśramaparivāraṃ ca anuraktaparivāraṃ ca abhedyaparivāraṃ ca mātṛjñaṃ ca pitṛjñaṃ ca śrāmaṇyaṃ ca brāhmaṇyaṃ ca kulajyeṣṭhāpacāyakaṃ ca prabhūtadhanadhānyañ ca prabhūtakośakoṣṭhāgāraṃ ca prabhūtahastyaśvājaiḍakaṃ ca prabhūta­dāsīdā­sakar­makarapauruṣeyaṃ ca apradharṣyaṃ ca taṃ kulaṃ bhavati parehi pratyarthikehi pratyamitrehi | yasmiṃ kule bodhisatvā jāyanti taṃ kulaṃ imehi ṣaṣṭīhi aṅgehi samanvāgataṃ bhavati || ye te satvā kulasampannā bhavanti evaṃrūpā satvā mahākaruṇāṃ pratilabhanti | bodhisatvo mahāsaṃvidhānaṃ karoti cyavanakālasmiṃ tuṣitabhavanāto | devasahasriyo cāturmahārājikānupādāya sarve kāmāvacarā tuṣitabhavane saṃnipatita bodhisatvasya cyavanakāle || bimbisāraprabhṛtikā uktā | tvaṃ rājagṛhe upapadyahi | tvayi vinīte mahājanakāyo vinayamārgaṃ gamiṣyatīti | evaṃ sahasodgato abhayo sārthavāho tathānye pi gṛhapatimahāśālāḥ brāhmaṇamahāśālāḥ || udayano vatsarājā vucyati | kauśāmbyāṃ upapadyāhi | tvayi vinīte mahājanakāyo vinayamārgaṃ gamiṣyati | ghoṣilo gṛhapatiḥ tathānye pi kṣatriyamahāśālāḥ gṛhapatimahāśālāḥ | etāye vidhīye devaputrasahasrāṇi yena bhagavato saṃsāre sansarantasya sahacaritaṃ jambūdvīpe ṣoḍaśahi mahājanapadehi upapadyanti kṣatriyamahāśālakulehi brāhmaṇamahāśālakulehi gṛhapatimahāśālakulehi | niḥsaṃdigdhaṃ tuphehi vinītehi mahājanakāyo vinayamārgaṃ gamiṣyatīti || bodhisatvo avaloketi kahiṃ upapadyāmi | ayaṃ rājā śuddhodano mama yogyo pitā || mātaraṃ gaveṣati yā prāsādikā ca bhaveya kulīnā ca śucigātrā ca mandarāgā ca alpāyuṣkā ca yasyā sasaptarātrā daśa māsā āyuṣpramāṇato avaśiṣṭā bhavensuḥ ||

sarveṣāṃ bodhisatvānāṃ janetvā puruṣottamaṃ |
carame saptame divase mātā jahati jīvitaṃ ||

atra kiṃ kāraṇaṃ bhavati yadi sarvajñamātaraḥ |
janetvā puruṣaśreṣṭhaṃ śīghraṃ jahanti jīvitaṃ ||

vasanto tuṣite kāye bodhisatvo imāṃ smṛtiṃ |
labhate śubhakarmeṇa parīkṣanto janetriyo ||

yasyeha pariśeṣaṃ syā nārīyo jīvitaṃ bhavet* |
divasāni sapta māsā ca daśa tasyā uram otare ||

kiṃ kāraṇaṃ ayuktaṃ hi asmadvidham anuttaraṃ |
dhāretvā uttare kāle maithunaṃ pratisevituṃ ||

athāpi pratiseveyu kāmā sugatamātari |
na pitā devasaṃghānāṃ bhinnavṛtto ti tad bhavet* ||

bhagavāṃ ca nāma kāmānāṃ doṣaṃ satataṃ bhāṣati |
atha ca lokanāthasya mātā kāmāṃ niṣevati ||

ye ca nṛpativeśmeṣu bhonti ratnakaraṇḍakāḥ |
ratanaṃ puruṣaśreṣṭhā bhājanaṃ bodhimātaro ||

alpāyuṣkāṃ bhuvi samanveṣanto bhodhisatvo adrākṣīt kapilavastusmiṃ śuddhodanasya agramahiṣīṃ prasādikāṃ ca kulīnāṃ ac śucigātrāṃ ca mandarāgāṃ ca alpāyuṣkāṃ | sasaptarātrā cāsyā daśa māsā āyuṣpramāṇato avaśiṣṭā || bodhisatvasyaitad abhavat* || eṣā me mātā yogyā ||

paśyati vilokayanto lokaṃ śuddhodanasya orodhe |
nārīṃ amaravadhunibhāṃ vidyullatānibhāṃ viya māyāṃ ||

so tāṃ niśāmya jananīṃ āmantrayate maruṇāṃ cyaviṣyāmi |
antimam upetya vāsaṃ garbhe marumānuṣasukhārthaṃ ||

taṃ avaca devasaṃghaḥ kṛtāṃjalipuṭo varābharaṇadhārī |
ṛdhyatu uttamapudgala tava praṇidhi ahīnaguṇarūpa ||

vayam api lokahitā bahu manoramāṃ ośiritvā kāmaratiṃ |
pūjārthaṃ tava anindita manuṣyaloke vasiṣyāmaḥ ||

te vipularuciravarṇaṃ mandāravapuṣpavarṣam ākāśe |
pramuṃcinsu udagracittā stavaṃtā madhurāhi vācāhi ||

yam amaravasanā praśamanamanoramāṃ śokaduḥkhavimiśrān* |
īkṣasi na ca niṣevasi kāmāṃ idam adbhutaṃ tuhyaṃ ||

yaṃ pi abhibhūya marugaṇaṃ jambūnadaparvatopamaprakāśo |
udyotayasi daśa diśo surarṣabha idaṃ pi āścaryaṃ ||

abhibhavasi devasaṃghā samaheśvaradānavāṃ samāragaṇāṃ|
tārāgaṇāṃ khagacarāṃ amitamati idaṃ pi āścaryaṃ ||

kiṃcāpi viprayogaṃ tvayā na icchāma bhūtasaṃghaguru |
api ca aravindanayana bhaviṣyasi gatir naramarūṇāṃ ||

atha cyavanakālasamaye viśuddha­śata­patra­padmanayanasya|
ānanditā marugaṇā ghoṣanti diśāhi sarvāhi ||

eṣā ca vartati kathā tuṣitapure sā ca apratirūpā māyā |
śuddhodanasya mahiṣī rājānam upetya idam āha ||

sā hariṇavatsanayanā viśuddhagandharvavadhunibhā śyāmā |
sahitaṃ idaṃ sumadhuraṃ śuddhodanam abravīt māyā ||

ābharaṇastambhitabhujā pravaravasanadhāriṇī sakhīhi saha|
tvayā vinā śākyanandana rajanīm imāṃ kṣapayituṃ chando ||

dhṛtarāṣṭrasya naravara prāsādavarasya uttamāṃ bhūmīṃ |
śayanapravaraṃ āruhi yatra kumudavasanasaṃnibhaṃ vimalaṃ ||

tena vacanena tuṣṭo deviye śuddhodano manāpena |
āmantrayati naravaro parivāram udagrasaṃkalpo ||

prativedayantu mi laghuṃ dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ pravarakusumasaṃchannaṃ |
muktakusumābhikīrṇaṃ karotha divi devabhavanaṃ vā ||

osaktapaṭṭadāmaṃ dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ ca śobhatāṃ capalam eva |
varahemajālacchannaṃ sumeruvaraśṛṅgasaṃkāśaṃ ||

caturaṅginī ca senā saśūlanārācatomaravicitrā |
paripālayatāṃ capalaṃ dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ manojñasaṃghātaṃ ||

osṛṣṭā yevājñā narapatinā sajjaṃ eva ca sarvaṃ |
kṛtvā tatra sakuśalaṃ rājānam upetya idam āhuḥ ||

varṣasahasram anūnaṃ prajā paripālayatu bho mahipālo |
sajjaṃ ti vimānavaraṃ śobhati tava harṣasaṃjananaṃ ||

atha sā amaravadhūnibhā māyā utthāya āsanavarāto |
abravīt mahīpatisutaṃ āditye astamitamātre ||

eṣā samādiyāmi prāṇeṣu avihiṃsaṃ brahmacaryaṃ ca |
viramāmi cāpy adinnād madyād anibaddhavacanāc ca ||

akhilavacanāc ca naravara viramāmi tathaivaṃ paiśunyāc ca|
paruṣavacanāc ca narapati viramāmi ayaṃ mama chando ||

parakāmeṣu ca īrṣyāṃ no saṃjāneyyaṃ nāpy abhidrohaṃ |
bhūteṣu upajaneṣyaṃ viparītamatiṃ ca vijahāmi ||

ekādaśaprakāraṃ śīlaṃ sevāmy ahaṃ pṛthivipāla |
rajanīm imāṃ anūnāṃ evaṃ mama jāyate chando ||

mā suda khu bhūmipāla kāmavitarko mā mayi pratikāṃkṣi |
preṣaya mā ti apuṇyaṃ bhaveyā mayi brahmacāriṇiye ||

sarve tava saṃkalpāṃ paripūremīti pārthivo avaca |
abhirama bhavanavaragatā ahaṃ ca rājyaṃ ca tava vaśyaṃ ||

sā strīsahasrasamagrā anantaraṃ gṛhya taṃ vimānavaraṃ |
abhiruhiya abhiniṣīde manāpaparipūrṇasaṃkalpā ||

sā kiṃcid eva kālaṃ tasmiṃ himakumudapuṇḍarīkanibhe |
śayane praśamadamaratā tūṣṇīṃbhāvena kṣepayati ||

sā dāniṃ dakṣiṇena pārśvena parinyāsi śarīravaraṃ |
kusumalatā va drumavaraṃ śayanaṃ parivelliyāśayitā ||

atha tāṃ niśāmya śayanopagatāṃ devīṃ divyapramadārūpanibhāṃ |
tuṣitālayā cyaviya devagaṇā prāsādamūrdhni pratiṣṭhihinsu ||

te mūrdhanā abhinatā sarve hṛṣṭā kṛtāṃjalipuṭā amarā |
vandanti tāṃ vipulapuṇyadharāṃ māyāṃ jinasya jananīṃ śayane
atha kautūhalaparaṃ saṃjaniyā bahudevakanyā śucimālyadharā |
jinamātur upagatā draṣṭumanā prāsādamūrdhni pratiṣṭhihinsu ||

upa­saṃk­ramitva śayanopagatāṃ māyāṃ niśāmya varavidyunibhāṃ |
prītisukhaṃ vipulaṃ saṃjaniyā atha saṃpravarṣi divijaṃ kusumaṃ ||

mānuṣyakaṃ pi kila edṛśakaṃ rūpaṃ sujātam idam āścaryaṃ|
kañcit kālaṃ sthihiy’ antarato nāyaṃ samā maravadhūhi bhave ||

līlāṃ niśāmayatha he sakhikā pramadāyimasya yatha opayikāṃ |
śayane virocati manaḥ harati vibhrājate kanakarītir iva ||

ayan tu dhareṣyati mahāpuruṣaṃ atyantadānadamaśīlarataṃ |
sarvāśravāntakaraṇaṃ virajaṃ kiṃ hāyate tava narendravadhū ||

cāpodare karatalapramite vararomarājivicitre rucire |
iha so bhaviṣyati anantamatiḥ satataṃ alipta aśubhena śuciḥ ||

bahu­dīrgharātranicitaṃ kuśalaṃ pramadāyimasya vipulaṃ paramaṃ |
yā taṃ dhareṣyati anantaguṇaṃ cirarātrasannicitapuṇya­balaṃ ||

anurūpā tvaṃ pramadā pravarā mātā sa caiva puruṣapravaro |
putro prahīnavanatho virajo kiṃ hāyate tava narendravadhū ||

atha rākṣasā vividharūpadharā āṇattā divi parito capalaṃ |
tiṣṭhantu bho pravaraśastradharā sarvadiśāṃ kurutha asaṃvaraṇāṃ ||

teṣām anantaraṃ dvijihvagaṇā ārakṣahetu diśatāsu sthitā |
vātaṃ pi yeṣa calitaṃ śruṇiya krodhā samutpatanti agnisamā ||

teṣām anantaragatā thapitā yakṣā pradīptaśikharā vikṛtā |
ye duṣṭacitta vinivārayathā mā ca vadhaṃ kurutha kasya cāpi ||

teṣām anantarasthitā bahavo gandharvasaṃgha śubharūpadharā |
ārakṣahetu śubhacāpadharā cyavanakṣaṇe vimalabuddhimato ||

catvāri lokapatino pi sthitā gagane svakapārivāreṇa saha |
adya cyaviṣyati kila bhagavāṃ lokasya arthasukhavṛddhikaro ||

tridaśehi sārdhaṃ tridaśapravaro sthita antarīkṣe varacakradharo |
acirā cyaviṣyati cyutiṃ carimāṃ ākāṅkṣamāṇo sukham apratimaṃ ||

māyāya mūli bahudevagaṇā kṛtvā daśāṅgulaṃ natābhimukhā |
samudīrayanti madhuraṃ vacanaṃ ullokayanti tuṣiteṣu jinaṃ ||

vyavadānasannicitapuṇyabalā samayo ti antimam upehi bhavaṃ |
sajjā tāva bhavati te jananī anukaṃpa dāni duḥkhitāṃ janatāṃ ||

eṣo cyavāmi iti muṃci girāṃ śubhaṃ vacanaṃ udīrayi + + + |
atha supinaṃ jananī jinasya tasmiṃ kṣaṇe paśyati varavipākaphalaṃ ||

hi­mara­jatanibho me ṣaḍviṣāṇo sucaraṇacārubhujo suraktaśīrṣo |
udaram upagato gajapradhāno lalitagatiḥ anavadyagātrasandhiḥ ||

na khalu bodhisatvā kālapakṣe matu kukṣiṃ okrāmanti || atha khalu pūrṇāyāṃ pūrṇamāsyāṃ puṣyanakṣatrayogayuktāyāṃ rātryāṃ bodhisatvā mātuḥ kukṣim avakrāmanti || upoṣadhikāyāṃ pramadottamāyāṃ sananditāyāṃ avilakṣitāyāṃ akṣudrāvacarāyāṃ prāsadikāyāṃ śucigātrāyāṃ mandarāgāyāṃ jātisaṃpannāyāṃ kulasaṃpannāyāṃ rūpasampannāyāṃ varṇasampannāyāṃ nāmasampannāyāṃ ārohasampannāyāṃ pariṇāhasampannāyāṃ vyaktāyāṃ agrayauvanamaṇḍaprāptāyāṃ viśrutāyāṃ paṇḍitāyāṃ smṛtāyāṃ saṃprajānāyāṃ pradakṣiṇacittāyāṃ sarvākārasampannāyāṃ sarvākāraparipūrṇāyāṃ pramadottamāyāṃ bodhisatvā mātuḥ kukṣim avakrāmanti || bodhisatvena prabhā osṛṣṭā yāye prabhāye sarvaṃ buddhakṣetraṃ avabhāsitaṃ | devaputro devaputraṃ pṛcchati ||

kiṃ kāraṇaṃ suravareṇa prabhā pramuktā
candrāṃśuśītalatarā kanakāvadātā |
yenāsureśvaragaṇā manujeśvarāś ca
prahlāditā ca narakā jvalanāgnikalpāḥ ||

so dāni āha ||

ye tatra tatra janatāṃ pratipālayanti
saṃsārapaṃjaragatāṃ madanābhibhūtāṃ |
teṣāṃ vimokṣakaraṇena mahāyaśena
āmantraṇārtham anaghena prabhā pramuktā ||

bodhisatva āha ||

muñcatha amarā purāṇi na kila prāmodyasya ayaṃ kālo |
jarāmaraṇapuraṃ bhettuṃ kālo jñānaprahāreṇa ||

bodhisatvo smṛto saṃprajāno pradakṣiṇacitto mātuḥ kukṣiṃ okrānto ||

iti sa nadiya siṃhanādaṃ narasiṃho cyavanakālasamayasmiṃ |
antarahito kṣaṇena narendrabhavane samupapadyi ||

yo so tuṣitaṃ kāyaṃ obhāseti śubhena varṇena |
devapurāc cyavamāno taṃ anativaraṃ jinaṃ vande ||

sabrahmakaṃ ca lokaṃ saśramaṇabrāhmaṇīṃ prajāṃ sarvāṃ |
varṇen’ obhāsayati anativaro lokapradyoto ||

āścaryam adbhutam idaṃ paśyatha yāvat maharddhikaḥ śāstā |
smṛtimāṃ susaṃprajāno mātuḥ kukṣismiṃ okrānto ||

yāvac ca narapravaro uttamalakṣaṇasamaṅgi asthāsi |
mātāye kukṣismiṃ smṛtimatimāṃ saṃprajāno ca ||

samanantar’ okrānte ca bodhisatve iyaṃ mahāpṛthivī atīva ṣaḍvikāraṃ kampe saṃkampe prakampe saṃharṣaṇīyaṃ ca kampayati modanīyaṃ ca prahlāditaṃ ca nirvarṇanīyaṃ ca ullokanīyaṃ ca āsecanakaṃ ca apratikūlaṃ ca prāmodikaṃ ca prasādanīyaṃ ca nirudvegaṃ ca niruttrastaṃ ca | kampamānā ca punar na kaṃcit satvaṃ vyāpādayati yam idaṃ calaṃ vā sthāvaraṃ vā ||

tato ayaṃ sāgaramerumaṇḍalā
prakampitā ṣaḍvidham āsi medinī |
kṛtā lokā vimalā manoramā
mahāndhakārāpanudasya tejasā ||

yāvattakā nāgarājāno nāgādhipatayo rakṣāvaraṇaguptaye autsukyaṃ samāpadyensu ||

caturo pi lokapālā rakṣām akarensu lokanāthasya |
mā kocī ahiteṣī namucibalanudaṃ vihiṃseyā ||

śakro pi devānām indro suyāmo pi devaputro saṃtuṣito pi devaputro sunirmito pi devaputro vaśavartī pi devaputro mahābrahmā pi śuddhāvāsā pi devā bodhisatvasya mātuḥ kukṣigatasya rakṣāvaraṇaguptaye autsukyaṃ samāpadyensuḥ ||

tato koṭisahasrāṇi devānāṃ kapilāhvayaṃ |
upagatāni tuṣṭāni ārakṣaṃ varabuddhino ||

devanagaraṃ iva kapilapuram uttamaṃ kṛtam anuviśantehi |
manomayavikramagatehi amaragaṇehi abhivirocati ||

māyāṃ parivāretvā maheśvaragaṇānāṃ kila sahasrāṇi |
āśu vigatamala-m-akhilā ākāśagatā abhiniṣaṇṇāḥ ||

teṣāṃ dāniṃ pṛṣṭhato indrasahasrāṇi vimalaśikharāṇi |
subahūni bahuguṇasya ārakṣārthaṃ niṣaṇṇāni ||

teṣāṃ dāniṃ pṛṣṭhato devendrāṇāṃ sahasranayutāni |
kāmāvacarā devā niṣaṇṇā gagane niralambe ||

devagaṇānāṃ pṛṣṭhato asurā asurāṇāṃ ca dvijihvagaṇāḥ |
yakṣāś ca vikṛtarūpāḥ rākṣasasaṃghāś ca saṃniṣaṇṇāḥ ||

etāye vidhiye gaganam amaraśatasahasrasaṃkulaṃ śrīmad* |
atyantasupariśuddhaṃ kuśalam upacitaṃ hi varadena ||

so yaṃ mahānubhāvo smṛtimāṃ tuṣitabhavanā cyavitvāna |
pāṇḍaravarāhakanibho bhavitva gajarūpi ṣaḍḍanto ||

vīraśayane śayantiye poṣadhikāye viśuddhavasanāye |
smṛtasaṃprajānakuśalo mātuḥ kukṣismiṃ okrānto ||

sā ca rajanīprabhāte ākhyāsi bhartuno manāpasya |
rājavara pāṇḍaro me gajarājo kukṣim okrānto ||

taṃ ca śruṇitvāna rājā vaipaṃcanikāṃ samāgatāṃ avaca |
supinasmiṃ asya sarve bhaṇātha bhūtaṃ phalavipākaṃ ||

te tatra cāvaciṃsū naimittikā pṛcchitā svayaṃ rājñā |
dvātriṃśalakṣaṇadharo kukṣiṃ devīye okrānto ||

hṛṣṭo bhavāhi naravara yasya tava kulasmiṃ pratyutpanno |
pṛthivīdhara vīragarbho anopamasatvo mahāsatvo ||

yatha maya paurāṇānām ācaryāṇāṃ svayaṃ samupāhṛtaṃ |
dve sya gatayo anantyā bhavanti naravīraśārdūla ||

yadi āsiṣyati agāre mahipati hoti saratano maharddhiko |
nityānubaddhavijayo rājaśatasahasraparivāro ||

atha khalu pravrajiṣyati cāturdvīpāṃ mahīṃ vijahiyāna |
hohiti ananyaneyo buddho netā naramarūṇāṃ ||

[supinaṃ pi śākiyānī ākhyāsi bhartuno manāpasya |
śveto gajanātho me kukṣiṃ bhettvāna okrānto ||

etaṃ śruṇitva rājā vaipaṃcanikāṃ samāgatāṃ avaca |
supinasmiṃ asya sarvaṃ bhaṇātha bhūtaṃ phalavipākaṃ ||

te tatra cāvaciṃsū naimittika pṛcchitā svayaṃ rājñā |
dvātriṃśalakṣaṇadharo kukṣiṃ devīye okrānto ||

yadi punar agāramadhye vasati pṛthivīṃ abhijeṣyate sarvāṃ |
śūrāṃ putrasahasraṃ labheta etādṛśāṃ vīrāṃ ||

atha ratana-anantākaraṃ pūrṇāṃ mahīm ujjhiyāna pravrajati |
buddho hohiti loke sarvajño sarvadarśāvī ||

mahābrahmā āha ||

svapnāntare pramadā adarśi
sūryaṃ nabhā kukṣim anupraviṣṭaṃ |
prasūyati strīratanaṃ subhāgaṃ
bhartāsya bhoti nṛpo cakravartī ||

svapnāntare yā pramadā adarśi
candraṃ nabhā kukṣim anupraviṣṭaṃ |
prasūyate sā naradevagarbhaṃ
so bhavati rājā balacakravartī ||

svapnāntare yā pramadā adarśi
sūryaṃ nabhā kukṣim anupraviṣṭaṃ |
prasūyate sā varalakṣitāṃgaṃ
so bhavati rājā balacakravartī ||

svapnāntare yā pramadā adarśi
śvetaṃ gajaṃ kukṣim anupraviṣṭaṃ |
prasūyate sā gajasattvasāraṃ
so bhavati buddho bodhitārthadharmo ||

devī pṛcchīyati || kiṃ dharesi || sā āha || cakravartin ti ||

kukṣiṃ prabhāsayantaṃ kanakavapuṃ pravaralakṣaṇasamaṅgiṃ |
dhāremi cakravartiṃ varapuruṣaṃ rājaśārdūlaṃ ||

devā nabhe bhagavato ghoṣam udīrayensuḥ || buddho bhaviṣyati na rājā cakravartī || mahābrahmā gāthāṃ bhāṣati ||

gajaṃ ratnaśreṣṭhaṃ madana­bala­vegā­pana­yanaṃ
pradīpaṃ lokasya tamatimiramohāpanayanaṃ |
guṇānāṃ koṣaṃ tvaṃ apari­mitaratnākaradharaṃ
dharesi rājarṣiṃ apratihatacakraṃ samaruciṃ ||

devī āha ||

yathā mama na rāgadoṣā prasahanti narendragarbham upalabhya |
niḥsaṃśayaṃ bhaviṣyati samaruci yatha niścarati vācā ||

bodhisatve khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigate mātu sukhaṃ gacchati pi tiṣṭhati pi sukhaṃ niṣīdati pi śayyāṃ kalpayati bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punaḥ mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātuḥ kāye śastraṃ na krāmati || na viṣaṃ nāgni na aśanī prasahati bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu puna mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātaraṃ devakanyā divyehi ucchādana­pari­mardana­pari­śeṣehi parijāgaranti bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātā divyavastrasaṃvṛtaśarīrā bhavati divyābharaṇadhāriṇī bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punaḥ mātuḥ kukṣigate mātā lābhinī bhavati divyānāṃ gandhānāṃ divyānāṃ mālyānāṃ divyānāṃ vilepānāṃ divyānām ojānāṃ bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punar mahāmaudgalyāyana mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātuḥ khalu punaḥ yo asyā abhyantaraparivāro so se atīva śrotavyaṃ śraddhātavyaṃ manyanti bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || kiṃ­karaṇīyakaprati­saṃ­yuktehi nimantrenti bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātaraṃ bodhisatvo paśyati || bodhisatve khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātur na kocid uparimena gacchati antaso pakṣī pi | alpābādhā bhavati alpātaṅkā | samāye vipākanīyagrahaṇīye samanvāgatā | nāpy atiśītāye nāpy ati-uṣṇāye ṛtupariṇāmāye bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātā lābhinī bhavati praṇītānāṃ khādanīyabhojanīyānāṃ agrarasānāṃ uttamarasānāṃ adhigatarasānāṃ pratyagrarasānāṃ bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātā vigatarāgā bhavati akhaṇḍam acchidram aśabalam akalmāṣaṃ pariśuddhaṃ paripūrṇaṃ brahmacaryaṃ carati | manasāpi tāye pramadottamāye rāgo na utpadyati sarvapuruṣehi antamasato rājñāpi śuddhodanena bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu puna mātuḥ kukṣigate bodhisatvamātā paṃca śikṣāpadāni samādāya vartati tāni ca sapūrvasamādinnāni bhavanti bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigate yavattā nāgarājāno nāgādhipatayo aṇḍajā vā jarāyujā vā saṃsvedajā vā aupapādukā vā te sarve niveśanam upasaṃkramitvā divyāni candanacūrṇāni divyāni tamālapatracūrṇāni prakiranti agurucūrṇāni prakiranti divyāni keśaracūrṇāni prakiranti divyāni kusumāni prakiranti | samāptāye ca naṃ arcanāye arcayanti paripūrṇāye ca naṃ arcanāye arcayensuḥ || te divyāni candanacūrṇāni ca prakiritvā divyāni agurucūrṇāni prakiranti divyāni ca keśaracūrṇāni divyāni ca tamālacūrṇāni prakiranti || divyāni muktakusumāni prakiritvā samāptāye ca naṃ arcanāye arcayitvā paripūrṇāye ca naṃ arcanāye arcayitvā bodhisatvamātaraṃ triṣkṛtyo pradakṣiṇīkṛtvā yenakāmaṃ prakramensuḥ bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || bodhisatve punar mātuḥ kukṣigate yāvanto suvarṇarājāno suvarṇādhipatayo evaṃ caturmahārajakāyikā devās trāyastriṃśā yāmā tuṣitā nirmāṇaratino paranirmitavasavartino brahmakāyikā devā te sarve niveśanaṃ upasaṃkramitvā divyāni candanacūrṇāni prakiritvā divyāni agurucūrṇāni prakiranti | divyāni tamālapatracūrṇāni divyāni muktakusumāni prakiritvā samāptāye ca naṃ arcanāye arcayitvā paripūrṇāye ca naṃ arcanāye arcayitvā pariśuddhāye ca naṃ arcanāye arcayitvā bodhisatvamātaraṃ triṣkṛtyo pradakṣiṇīkṛtvā yenakāmaṃ prakramensuḥ bodhisatvasyaiva tejena ||

bodhisatvo khalu punar matuḥ kukṣigato na cātinīcaṃ tiṣṭhati na cāti-uccaṃ tiṣṭhati na cāvakubjako na ottānako na vāmena pārśvena tiṣṭhati na utkuṭuko || atha khalu dakṣiṇe pārśve paryaṃkam ābhuñjitvā tiṣṭhati || bodhisatvo khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigato na pittena na śleṣmeṇa vā na rudhireṇa vā anyena vā kenacid aśucinā upalipto ’viśuddho tiṣṭhati || atha khalu ucchāditasnāpitaviśadagātro bodhisatvo mātuḥ kukṣismiṃ tiṣṭhati || bodhisatvo khalu punar mātuḥ kukṣigato mātaraṃ paśyati bodhisatvamātāpi taṃ kukṣigataṃ bodhisatvaṃ paśyati vigraham iva jātarūpasya dṛṣṭvā ca bhoti āttamanā [kukṣiṃ obhāsentaṃ vigraham iva jātarūpasya ] |

yatha vaiḍūryasya maṇi sphāṭikasamudge kaṭi-utsaṃgasmiṃ |
nihito syā evam eva bodhisatvaṃ paśyati mātā |
kukṣiṃ obhāsentaṃ vigrahaṃ iva jātarūpasya ||

bodhisatvaṃ devasaṃghāḥ sukharātriṃ sukhadivasaṃ pṛcchakā āgacchanti prītamanaso tāṃ ca devasaṃghāṃ tathā pṛcchamānāṃ bodhisatvo pratyabhinandati dakṣiṇaṃ karam utkṣipya mātaraṃ ca na bādhati || bodhisatvaṃ mātuḥ kukṣigataṃ devā nāgā yakṣā mārutā rākṣasā piśācā na jahanti divā cā rātrau ca na cātra āsaṃgakathā kathīyati kāmopasahitā vā anyā vā asatyā kathā | nānyatra bodhisatvavarṇam eva bhāṣanti rūpataḥ sattvataḥ tejataḥ varṇataḥ yaśataḥ kuśalamūlāto || bodhisatvasya mātuḥ kukṣigatasya pratipūjā noparamati | divyāni tūryāṇi divyāni agurudhūpāni divyaṃ puṣpavarṣaṃ divyaṃ cūrṇavarṣaṃ || apsarasahasrāṇi ca upagāyanti upanṛtyanti || bodhisatvamātāṃ devakanyāsahasrehi sārdhaṃ abhyābhavati hāsyaṃ ca kathā ca | prasuptāṃ ca bodhisatvamātaraṃ devakanyā mandāravadāmena capalā parivījenti bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || ayaṃ ca punaḥ trisāhasramahāsāhasrāyāṃ lokadhātūyaṃ anuttarā garbhāvakrāntipāramitā ||

anyaṃ ca dāni paśyatha āścaryaṃ tasya devaparṣāye |
tāva vipulāye yā kathā abhūt paramaharṣasaṃjananī ||

na pi kāmakathā teṣāṃ na pi apsarasāṃ kathā na gītakathā |
na pi vādyakathā teṣāṃ na pi bhakṣakathā na pānakathā ||

nābharaṇakathā teṣāṃ na pi vastrakathā pravartati kācit* |
yānodyānakathā vā manasāpi na jāyate teṣāṃ ||

sādhū puṇyabalavato dyuti + + + sā sadevakaṃ lokaṃ |
abhibhavati nāyakasya vikasati eṣā kathā tatra ||

sādhuṃ garbhokramaṇaṃ karmaṇa anurūpaṃ pāramigatasya |
iti vikasati bahuvidhā kathā pariṣāmadhye etasmiṃ ||

sādhū ti nirāmiṣehi saṃjñāpadehi kṣapenti tatkālaṃ |
varabuddhino ayaṃ api kathā vikasati pariṣāmadhye ||

evaṃ bahuprakārāṃ kathāṃ kathayantā ramanti devagaṇāḥ |
rūpaṃ varṇaṃ tejaṃ varaṃ ca vīracaryaṃ kathayantā ||

sarveṣāṃ bodhisatvānāṃ mātā pratipūrṇe daśame māse prajāyati || subhūtinā śākyena preṣitaṃ rājño | āgacchatu devī iha prajāyiṣyati || rājā pratibodhayati || āgamiṣyati sālabhaṃjakaṃ ca kariṣyati ||

lumbinivanaṃ sucapalaṃ apagatatṛṇakhāṇḍa­patra­saṃ­khāraṃ |
varasurabhikusumanikaraṃ karotha gandhodakasugandhaṃ ||

lumbinivane va vātā tamāla­patra­gandhavāsitaśarīrā |
vāyantu amṛtagandhāṃ madajananā ca palāyantu ||

agaruvaradhūpagandhā samonamantu nabhato jaladharā taṃ |
lumbinivanaṃ chādetuṃ varacūrṇarasākulaṃ kṣipraṃ ||

ekaikaṃ caṅkramavaraṃ dukūlapaṭṭorṇākośikārehi |
kalpayatha kalpavṛkṣāṃ yatha divi devapradhānasya ||

devā ca devakanyā ca gandhamālyaṃ gṛhya luṃbinīvanam āgacchanti ||

sphaṭikamaṇikuṇḍaladharā vigalitavasanā pralambamaṇihārā |
ādāya gandhamālyaṃ gaganapathagatā praḍīyanti ||

mandāravāna bharitā kācit* śaṃgeriyo gṛhītvāna |
haricandanasya kācit kāci punaḥ kalpaduṣyāṇāṃ ||

sthalajajalajaṃ ca mālyaṃ gṛhītvā apsarā muditacittāḥ |
ratanā ābharaṇāni ca jambudvīpe abhimukhīyo ||

caturāśītim anūnā chatrasahasrāṇi devakanyāyo |
kanakaratanāmayāni ādāya nabhe praḍīyanti ||

kūṭā­gāra­samehi ca sphaṭikamaṇimusālagalvehi citrehi |
bharitam api antarīkṣaṃ duṣya­śata­samucchritapatākaṃ ||

gajaśvasanasannikāśā śāradameghā khagapathe virocanti |
varasurabhikusumagandhā kama­lotpalacampakavimiśrāḥ ||

bhujagapatino pramuditā meghehi sugandhatoyabharitehi |
abhyokiranti nagaraṃ anyāni ca adbhutaśatāni ||

avagāhya taṃ vanavaraṃ māyā sakhisaṃvṛtā jinajinetrī |
vicarati cittarathe devi amaravadhū yatha ratividhijñā ||

sā krīḍārtham upagatā pilakṣaśakhāṃ bhujāya avalambya |
pravijṛmbhitā salīlā tasya yaśavato jananakāle ||

atha vā navati sahasrā marukanyā āśur eva sannipatitā |
māyāṃ kṛtāṃjalipuṭā idam avaca prasannasaṃkalpā ||

adya jarāvyādhimathanaṃ janayiṣyasi amaragarbhasukumāraṃ |
devī divi bhuvi mahitaṃ hitaṃ hitakaraṃ naramarūṇāṃ ||

mā khalu janaya viṣādaṃ parikarma vayaṃ tavaṃ kariṣyāmaḥ |
yaṃ kartavyam udīraya dṛśyatu kṛtam eva tatsarvaṃ ||

atha caturi lokapālā saparivārā āśu-r-eva sannipatitā |
divyapraveṇihastā devim upagatā pradakṣiṇato ||

sarve pi devasaṃghā māyāṃ paricārayitva ākāśe |
sthitā mālyagandhahastā svaparivāreṇa upaśobhanti ||

na khalu punar bodhisatvāmātā bodhisatvaṃ janeti śayānā niṣaṇṇikā vā yathānyāḥ striyo || atha khalu bodhisatvamātā sthitikā eva bodhisatvaṃ saṃjaneti || bodhisatvo smṛto saṃprajāno mātaram abādhayamāno dakṣiṇapārśvena prādurbhavati ||

dakṣiṇena hi pārśvena jāyante puruṣottamāḥ |
sarve puruṣaśārdūlā bhavanty atravihāriṇaḥ ||

kiṃ tan na bhidyate pārśvaṃ vedanā ca na jāyate |
tasyā jinajanetrīye janetvā puruṣottamaṃ ||

manomayena rūpeṇa prādurbhonti tathāgatā |
evaṃ na bhidyate pārśvaṃ vedanā na ca jāyati ||

bodhisatvo garbhāvāsapariśrānto sapta padāni kramati ||

jātamātro ca vikrame sapta vikramate bhuvi |
diśāṃ ca praviloketi mahāhāsaṃ ca ūhati ||

atra kiṃ kāraṇaṃ uktaṃ yaṃ sapta kramate kramān* |
na ca aṣṭa na ca ṣaṣṭi atra āgamanaṃ śṛṇu ||

garbhāvāsa­pari­śrānto sarvalokahito muniḥ |
paścimo garbhāvāso yaṃ atha vegena prakrami ||

taṃ tu saptapade nyaste devasaṃghābhilīyata |
sahasā lokapālebhyo aṃkena dhāriye muniḥ ||

atha varṣo samutpadye divyakusumaśīkaro |
mandāravarajākīrṇṇo divyacandanasaṃkulo ||

dīrghakālam udagrāś ca suramukhyā agradhūpanaṃ |
pramuṃciṣu vibhūṣārthaṃ tasya uttamabuddhino ||

yad arthaṃ ca viloketi diśāṃ apratipudgalo |
tatrāpi āgamaṃ vakṣye upadeśaṃ manoramaṃ ||

na so vidyate satvānāṃ deveṣu manujeṣu vā |
yasyaivaṃ saṃbhavo bhavati garbhokramaṇam eva ca ||

khadyota­kana­kanirbhāsaṃ pārśvaṃ jinajanetriye |
āyate yadā sarvajñaḥ āyate carame bhave ||

jātamātrasya taccittaṃ āsi pravaravādino |
asti kaścit samabuddhi me idaṃ tarkaṃ nivartituṃ ||

kecit saṃsāracāreṇa artīyanti yathā ahaṃ |
ityarthaṃ puruṣādityaḥ diśāṃ sarvāṃ nirīkṣati ||

atha diśāṃ vilokento dṛśyati vadatāṃ varaḥ |
devakoṭisahasrāṇi tasmiṃ hāsaṃ pramuñcati ||

jātamātrasya me cāhuḥ devatā mārakāyikāḥ |
caturdvīpo mahākośo cakravartī bhaviṣyasi ||

athāsya hāso saṃbhavati na me satvā vijānatha |
sarvajño sarvadarśāvī bhaviṣyaṃ puruṣottamaḥ ||

evam etaṃ praśaṃsanti vipākam upadeśakāḥ |
tathā hi narasiṃhānāṃ śāsanaṃ suprakāśitaṃ ||

yaṃ tiṣṭhantī janaye vīraṃ saṃkusumitehi śālehi |
śarīram avalambyamānā taṃ anativaraṃ jinaṃ vande ||

saṃpratijāto sugato samehi pādehi dharaṇim avatiṣṭhe |
sapta ca padāni agamā sarvāṃ ca diśāṃ viloketi ||

taṃ cāsya caṃkramantaṃ anvāgami vījanaṃ ca cchatraṃ ca |
mā varaviduno kāye daṃśā maśakā ca nipatensuḥ ||

saṃpratijāte sugate devā prathamaṃ jinaṃ pratigṛhṇe |
paścāc cainaṃ manuṣyā anativaraṃ aṅke dhārensuḥ ||

pratyagrahensu devā sugataṃ dvātriṃśalakṣaṇasamaṃgiṃ |
paścāc cainaṃ manuṣyā anativaraṃ aṃke dhārensuḥ ||

nirvāyensu pradīpā mānuṣakā obhāsit’ abhūl lokaṃ |
saṃpratijāte sugate ulkādhāre naramarūṇāṃ ||

saṃpratijāte sugate jñātī udakārthikā vidhāvensuḥ |
atha purato udupānā pūrā mukhato viṣyandensuḥ ||

duve vāridhārā udgami ekā śītasya ekā uṣṇasya |
yatra snapayensu sugataṃ vigrahaṃ iva jātarūpasya ||

saṃpratijāte khalu punaḥ sugate bodhisatvamātā akṣatā caiva abhūṣi avraṇā ca bodhisatvasyaiva tejena | bodhisatvamātuḥ kukṣi pratipūrṇā eva abhūṣi anonaddhā ca || saṃpratijāte khalu punar bodhisatve caturṇṇāṃ dvīpakoṭiśatānāṃ madhye pṛthivīmaṇḍapradhānā aśvatthayaṣṭi prādurbhavet* | antaradvīpe candanavanaṃ prādurbhavet* | bodhisatvasya upabhogaparibhogam āgacche bodhisatvasyaiva tejena || tatra devaputrasahasrāṇi apsarasahasrāṇi gandhamālyam ādāya āgacchanti bodhisatvasya pūjārthaṃ || devaputro devaputraṃ pṛcchati || kahiṃ gamiṣyasi || so āha ||

eṣā prasūṣyati narendravadhūttamaṃ taṃ
vatsaṃ vibuddha­varapuṣkaragauragarbhaṃ |
yo prāpsyate dharaṇimaṇḍagatottamārthaṃ
māraṃ nihatya sabalaṃ tam upemi vīraṃ ||

amrakṣitā garbhamalena gātrā
jātaṃ jale paṃkajam uttamaṃ vā |
vapuṣmanto bālaraviprakāśo
sabrahmakān amarān abhibhoti ||

tato jātamātro kule śākiyānāṃ
atikramya dhīro padānīha sapta |
samolokayitvā diśā ūhasāsi
ayaṃ dānim eko bhavo paścimo tti ||

nabhe tu cchatram eva vibhrājamānaṃ
maṇimuktiśreṣṭhaṃ parābhāvibhrājaṃ |
vidhūtadāmena mandāravānāṃ
bahū devaputrā nabhe dhārayensuḥ ||

sabālārkaśaṃ­khapratīkāśavarṇaṃ
varaṃ hemacchatraṃ nabhe dhārayensuḥ |
tato vījanīyo visṛṣṭā bhramensuḥ
kareṇa grahetvā jinaṃ vījayensuḥ ||

tataḥ puṇyagandhā sukhoṣṇā prabhūtā
laghupremaṇīyā hitā mānuṣāṇāṃ |
śivā nandanīyā tuṣārānubaddhā
duve vāridhārā nabhe udgamensu ||

tato meruśṛṅgād anekaprakārā
pramuktottarīyā samantormijātā ||

bhṛśaṃ viśvagandhādhivāsānuvātā
dṛḍhāṃ ṣaḍvidhānaṃ mahīṃ kaṃpayensuḥ ||

suvarṇasya rūpyamaṇīnāṃ śubhānā
vimāneṣu devā satūryā vighuṣṭā |
sujātena jātaṃ jinaṃ prekṣamāṇā
sacandrārkatāraṃ nabhaṃ śobhayensu ||

ayaṃ so sadevaṃ sanāgaṃ sayakṣaṃ
mahoghaṃ maharṣī jagaṃ uttaritvā |
tataḥ kṣemam ekāṃ diśāṃ prāpsyatīti
prahṛṣṭā sya devā nabhe vyāharensuḥ ||

saṃpratijāte bodhisatve śākyānāṃ paṃca kumāraśatāni sundaranandapramukhāni | paṃca kanyāśatāni yaśodharāpramukhāni | paṃca dāsakaśatāni cchandakapramukhāni | paṃca aśvaśatāni kaṇṭhakapramukhāni | paṃca hastipotaśatāni canda­nahastipotakapramukhāni | paṃca nidhiśatāni prādurbhūtāni || paṃcahi rājaśatehi jayasaṃvṛddhaye preṣitā ||

rājā śuddhodano āṇāpeti || ito eva devīṃ nivartayatha || kenacid bodhisatvo abhivahiṣyatīti || viśvakarmeṇa devaputreṇa ratnāmayī śivikā nirmitā || ko imāṃ śivikāṃ vahiṣyatīti || catvāro mahārājā upasthitā | vayaṃ sattvasāraṃ vahiṣyāmaḥ | bodhisatvo ca māyāya mātuḥ sārdhaṃ śivikāsamārūḍho | śakro devānām indro mahābrahmā ca utsāraṇaṃ karonti ||

rājñā śuddhodanena amātyā āṇattā || ita eva kumāraṃ śākyavardhanaṃ devakulaṃ netha abhayāye devīye pādavandanaṃ || tehi amātyehi rājño vacanena kumāro tato eva śākyavardhano devakulaṃ nīto abhayāya devīye pādavande || te dāni abhayāye devīye mūrdhena pādā vandāpayiṣyāmo ti | yena cābhayā devī tena kumārasya pādā prādurbhūtā | abhayā devī kumārasya mūrdhena pādeṣu praṇatā ||

naro cetiyeṣu praviṣṭo akāmo mahālokanātho narendrāṇa śāstā |
yadā uttamāṅgena vandāpayensuḥ tato tasya pādāni prādurbhavensu ||

tato devatā cābhayā ity avocat* na eṣo nurūpo mamaṃ vandamāmo |
praṇāmaṃ ca eṣo yad anyasya kuryād dṛḍhaṃ saptadhā asya mūrdhaṃ sphaṭeyāti ||

jātamātre kumāre arthasiddhī sukhī sarvasatvā abhū yāvad avīciṃ | praṇāmaṃ ca kurvī devā abhayā ca tasya devī prahṛṣṭā praṇāmaṃ karoti || utthāpanīyā gāthā ||

jāte jagapradhāne sarve arthā pradakṣiṇā rājño |
tena naralambakasya nāmaṃ sarvārthasiddha iti ||

rājakulaṃ kumārasmiṃ praviṣte avacat purohitaṃ nṛpatiḥ |
lakṣaṇavidhiguṇakuśalāṃ viprāṃ pariyeṣatha śīghraṃ ||

taṃ vijñāya ca devā maheśvarā nāma cittavasavarttī |
mā lakṣaṇā akuśalā vikalpayiṣyanti dvijasaṃghā ||

vigatamada­māna­darpā aṣṭa sahasrā maheśvaravarāṇāṃ |
devanaraguruṃ kṛtāñjalī saṃpratijātaṃ upagamensuḥ ||

te rājakuladvāre śucivastrāmbarasthitā stimitaśabdāḥ |
pratihārarakṣam abravīt suma­dhura­karaviṃ­karutaghoṣāḥ ||

śuddhodanaṃ upagamya brūvīhi ime lakṣaṇaguṇavidhijñā |
tiṣṭhanti aṣṭa sahasrā praviśensuḥ yadi anumatan te ||

sādhū ti pratiśrutvā pratihārarakṣo praviśya rājakulaṃ |
abravīt kṛtāṃjalipuṭo prītamanaso pṛthivīpālaṃ ||

atulavaradīptayaśasā kāraya rājyaṃ ciraṃ nihataśatru |
dvāre te ’marasadṛśā tiṣṭhanti praveṣṭum icchanti ||

pratipūrṇavimalanayanā madhurasvara mattavāraṇavicārī |
bhavati mama teṣu śaṃkā na te manujā devaputrās te ||

pari­caṃk­ramatāṃ teṣāṃ dharaṇīrajo kramavarāṃ na spṛśāti |
na ca sānaṃ paśyati padaṃ pṛthivyāṃ idaṃ api āścaryaṃ ||

gambhīrastimitaceṣṭā āryākārā praśāntadṛṣṭipathā |
vipulāṃ janenti prītiṃ janasya samudīkṣamāṇasya ||

anyaṃ ca dāni adbhutaṃ śarīracchāyā na dṛśyate teṣāṃ |
teṣāṃ ca sandhiśabdo caṃkramatāṃ na śruyate kaścit* ||

niḥsaṃśayaṃ upagatā putravaraṃ naravarādhipa draṣṭuṃ |
abhinandaṃ abhivādaya paśyāhi ayonijāṃ devāṃ ||

varamālyagandhahastāṃ līlāceṣṭāṃ manoramaśarīrāṃ |
dīpyantāṃ iva śirīye asaṃśayaṃ pravaramarutas te ||

śuddhodano niśāmya vacanam idaṃ harṣakampitaśarīro |
abravīt* bhaṇahi sucapalaṃ praviśantu niveśanam udāraṃ ||

kiṃkāraṇaṃ na edṛśā prākṛtapuruṣāṇa bhonti ākārāḥ |
na pi mānuṣāṇa īdṛśī ṛddhi bhavati yādṛśīṃ bhaṇasi ||

atha so pratihārarakṣo upagamya maheśvarāṃ idam avocat* |
prahvo kṛtāṃjalipuṭo praṇamya hṛṣṭo muditacitto ||

abhinandato narapatiḥ praviśantu bhavanto divyapurakalpaṃ |
rājavṛṣabhasya veśmaṃ narādhipatinā anujñātāḥ ||

etaṃ śrutvā vacanaṃ aṣṭasahasraṃ maheśvaravarāṇāṃ |
praviśanti pārthivakulaṃ anihatakulavaṃśamukhyasya ||

śuddhodano pi rājā maheśvarāṃ dūrato niśāmetvā |
pratyutthito saparivāro gauravabalabhāvitaśarīro ||

tāṃ avaca rājavṛṣabho svāgatam anurāgaṃ bhavi sarveṣāṃ |
prītā sma darśanena praśamadamabalena ca bhavatāṃ ||

saṃvidyante imāni asmākaṃ āsanapradhānāni |
āstāṃ tāva bhavanto asmākam anugrahārthāye ||

atha te teṣv āsaneṣu bahu­ratnaviśuddhacitra­pādeṣu |
vigatamadamānadarpā niṣīdi anavadyakarmāntāḥ ||

te kaṃcid eva kālaṃ āgamayitvā narādhipam avocat* |
śṛṇvatu bhavān prayojanaṃ yaṃ asmākam iha gamanāye ||

sarva­manavadyagātro utpanno lokasundaro tuhyaṃ |
putro kila manujapate lakṣaṇaguṇapāramīprāpto ||

vayam api lakṣaṇakuśalās samarthā guṇadoṣalakṣaṇaṃ jñātuṃ |
yadi na gurutvaṃ bhavato paśyema mahāpuruṣarūpaṃ ||

so avaca hanta paśyatha suvyapadeśakṣemaṃ mama putraṃ |
marumanujaharṣajananaṃ lakṣaṇaguṇapāramīprāptaṃ ||

atha sa mṛdukācalindikapraveṇiye guṇadharaṃ grahetvāna |
aṃkena vādicandraṃ upanāmayati suravarāṇāṃ ||

ālokayitva dūrā maheśvarā parākramaṃ daśabalasya |
mūrdhani vigalitamakuṭā nipatanti mahītale hṛṣṭāḥ ||

te dāni rājānam ārocenti | lābhā te mahārāja sulabdhā yasya te yaṃ mahāpuruṣo kule utpanno dvātriṃśatīhi mahāpuruṣalakṣaṇehi samanvāgato || tadyathā ||

samā heṣṭā ca dīrghā ca āyatā utsaṃgapaṃcamā |
eṇi bṛhatpratiṣṭhito kośa nyagrodha te daśa ||

mṛdujālā ca pratipūrṇā ekā ūrdhvāgrapaṃcaṃāḥ |
ślaksṇacchavi haṃsāntarā ca utsadā ca te daśa ||

rasaṃ suvarṇasīho ca samā śuklā ca paṃcaṃā |
samā prabhūtā brahṃā ca nīlagopakṣa te daśa |
ūrṇā uṣṇīṣaśīrṣaṃ ca nātho dvātriṃśalakṣaṇo ||
